That the recycling truck might be an hour late propels liberals into a state of near hysteria. That someone might actually own a gun sends them running to the therapist for Prozac, grief-counseling and Deepak Chopra seminars. They seek order, safety and security at any cost, rather than individuality, liberty and freedom.

The goals of a totalitarian, Fascist state are reflected in the ramblings of liberal politicians and Hollywood idiots. They say they want peace, but the sort of peace they seek is more akin to slavery then it is the ideals upon which America was founded.

Liberals want to play happily in a field of daisies, unable to accept that we live in a time of daisy cutters. True, if their desires were the rule of the land they would get their wish. Our enemies would gladly provide that field of daisies, and make certain every single American - liberal or conservative - was pushing them up.

The garden variety leftist attacks our country with every breath, oblivious to the fact that their ability to speak out, to acquire their toys, to travel and protest and whine, are provided by the very system they despise. They know only hate for those who disagree with their Utopian vision of unchecked liberalism. They immediately label as racists any who counter their nonsensical ramblings with the logic of protecting our sovereignty and future.

It would be nice, if just for a few days, Obama would recall that he's an American first and a liberal second.

I am an Extremist

by Oliver North

According to the U.S. Government, I am an extremist. I am a Christian -- and meet regularly with other Christians to study God's word. My faith convinces me the prophesies in the Holy Bible are true. I believe in the sanctity of human life, oppose abortion and want to preserve marriage as the union of a man and a woman. I am a veteran with skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. I own several firearms, frequently shoot them, buy ammunition and consider efforts to infringe on my 2nd Amendment rights to be wrong and unconstitutional. I fervently support the sovereignty of the United States, am deeply concerned about our economy, increasingly higher taxes, illegal immigration, soaring unemployment, and actions by our government that will bury my children beneath a mountain of debt.

Apparently, all this makes me a "rightwing extremist." At least that’s what it says in the April 7, 2009 assessment issued by the Office of Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The nine-page report, titled, "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," is full of warnings about American citizens who share any of my background or subscribe to the beliefs above. It is one of the most alarming documents produced by our government that I have ever read.

Evidently neither you nor I were ever supposed to read this assessment. At the bottom of the cover page is a warning that it is "not to be released to the public, the media, or other personnel who do not have a valid need-to-know." We’re Americans. We have a need to know what’s going on in our government -- especially in an administration that promised to be transparent. A full copy of the report is posted at www.freedomalliance.org.

The assessment purports to alert law enforcement officials that "right-wing extremists"  -- the term is used more than 35 times -- are intent on exploiting Americans who have strongly held beliefs on everything from Christian faith to rising unemployment, U.S. sovereignty and the 2nd Amendment. It vilifies those of us in these categories by references to neo-Nazis, racists, militias, white-supremacists, and other hate groups. Notably, the report includes a warning that Rightwing Extremism "may include groups or individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

Though the report proffers a passing reference to the 1st Amendment, it is replete with bias against conservative thought, writing and communications. On page 3, law enforcement authorities are warned, "Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived (emphasis added) loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures."

This is a frightening acknowledgement that political speech is being monitored in America. It is also wrong. It's not perception. It is fact. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the manufacturing and construction sectors have lost 161,000 jobs and 126,000 jobs, respectively, in the last month alone.

In its "Key Findings" the DHS manuscript boldly charges "rightwing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emergent issues" and warns that "The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

Under the heading "Disgruntled Military Veterans" the report alleges, "rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists -- including lone wolves or small terrorist cells -- to carry out violence." These unsubstantiated claims are followed by reminders that Timothy McVeigh -- the 1995 Oklahoma City bomber -- was a military veteran. Omitted is any reference to the fact that Mr. McVeigh was simply one of more than 40 million law abiding veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Thirteen lines after this egregious, unconscionable slander against those of us who are military combat veterans, DHS makes the stunning charge that, "lone wolves and small terrorist cells embracing violent rightwing extremist ideology are the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States."

According to this DHS assessment, the most dangerous threat we face here at home isn't from radical imams preaching violence in U.S. mosques and madrassas, Islamists recruiting in our prisons, Somali terrorists enticing young immigrants to become suicide bombers or Hamas, Hezbollah or al Qaeda operatives plotting mass murder. No, according to DHS, the real threat comes from what our government labels "rightwing extremist ideology."

Mr. Obama should publicly disavow this report and fire the officials responsible for issuing it. Those who prepare his remarks for the occasion should insert in the teleprompter, Senator Barry Goldwater's words on the subject: "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice."

BORDER DEFENSE

It’s about the issues that face our nation due to our government’s lack of substantive action when it comes to defending our borders—particularly our border with Mexico—from hostile enemies and invasion. There are five major threats coming into America because we have an open border with Mexico and I address each of them in-depth. I address constitutional and other legal precepts to educate the reader about what the laws actually are. And I develop a solution for the defense of our border with Mexico using the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP). Why Moral Conservatism Is Indispensable To Liberty

  by: Tim Dunkin

Those from previous generations to my own can remember America as it was before the tectonic shifts in the social and moral fiber of the nation that occurred in the late 1960s and early 1970s. They remember a time when the streets were safe and when traditional marriage, the sanctity of innocent life, and standards of morality existed as more than just a set of pre-packaged bumper sticker slogans. Even in the relatively short span of my own life, I've seen the moral compass of this nation drift away from true north as its spiritual lodestone demagnetized — things that would have been inconceivable even in the 1980s are yawned at today.

In many circles, this state of affairs is celebrated. For many, the Judeo-Christian moral system is considered to be at best a relic of the past, and certainly as an outmoded set of rules and strictures which are an attack on personal freedom. Sadly, this view is not only held by those on the Left — the socialists and communists and fascists and whatnot. It is also held by many on the Right, those who proclaim themselves to be of libertarian persuasions, but yet who do not understand the underlying contradiction of their own belief system.

My intention here is not to aim any blue-on-blue friendly fire at libertarians. Instead, I want to point out that the belief that you can have liberty without a foundation in Judeo-Christian biblical morality, or even that you cannot have liberty unless you toss this morality aside, is completely contrary to reality. I have a saying about libertarians — about 85% of the time, they're right on the money, but the other 15% of the time, they are way, way off base. The primary reason for this is the philosophically libertarian attitude towards religion in general, and biblical morality in particular. This attitude would be summed up best by Robert Heinlein, a science fiction writer from the past century who was also an outspoken libertarian later in his life and who infused his personal attitudes towards Christianity into many of his writings,

It is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law if it acquires the political power to do so, and will follow it by suppressing opposition, subverting all education to seize early the minds of the young, and by killing, locking up, or driving underground all heretics.

Or,

Sin lies only in hurting other people unnecessarily. All other sins are invented nonsense.

As a result, hard-core libertarians may be completely on target about any number of issues ranging from taxes to guns to property rights. Yet, the fact remains that authentically libertarian positions on many social issues will necessarily be based upon the atheistic worldview that views mankind as inherently good, rejects the notion of absolute moral right and wrong, and views any intrusion of morality into its self-contained fact space as an imminent imposition of theocracy upon itself. Often, it is these libertarians on the Right who are the biggest purveyors of the myths surrounding "separation of church and state" and the role of religious faith in early American history.

As such, modern libertarianism finds its origins in much the same philosophical and spiritual milieu as does the modern Left — in the rejection of any authority upon the behavior of man but man's own, personal intuitions themselves. In truth, the hard-core, philosophical libertarian is as much a disciple of Ludwig Feuerbach as any Marxist.

Yet, the problem for libertarianism — in the sense of which we've just looked at — is that the premise of its entire understanding of anthropology (the study of man) is incorrect. The philosophical libertarian sees man as inherently good — it's the government who makes him evil. Left to his own devices, unfettered from any moral or ethical constraints whatsoever, each man would naturally seek him own good, while refraining from doing evil to his neighbor. Sin — such as it is — only appears when those who want to control other people successfully manage to impose their superstitions upon them. Without religion clouding the matter, man wouldn't have these artificial guilt feelings about sex or greed or other aspects of personal behavior.

Unfortunately for hard-core libertarians, it doesn't work this way. The proposition that man is inherently good is laughable. Simply laughable. One only has to look at the news to see that. Man does not need government to incline him towards harming other people. Indeed, man needs government to STOP him from doing so. The primary issue then becomes "what sort of government." Will man utilize self-government, or will he require outside government, imposed upon him by force?

As has been pointed out by the writer Ken Martin, self-government involves the capacity of the individual to not only do what he likes, but also to be willing to bear the consequences of his actions. I would go further, and add this: self-government includes the capacity to exercise foresight and to restrain oneself from behavior which will harm yourself or other people, even if the harm is not immediately apparent or observable. This, in fact, is what biblical, Judeo-Christian morality is.

In truth, there is no such thing as a "victimless crime." This concept is a fiction. Somebody always pays the piper for our immoral actions, and most of the time, that somebody is not just we ourselves. Homosexuals, through their behavior, are responsible for introducing AIDS and other STDs into the blood supply and disease ecology of our nation. Their activities certainly have greater and more far-ranging effects than just on their own lives. The same can be said for that favorite example of a "victimless" crime — prostitution. While the harm done through these sorts of activities is often not immediately apparent, in the long run it is there, just the same.

Therefore, self-government involves much more than simply running around doing whatever comes to mind, whatever "floats your boat," so to speak. Self-government involves limiting one's own behavior enough that one can credibly, peacefully, and responsibly participate in the mutually beneficial commonwealth of individuals envisioned by Locke. Our Founders understood this truth about self-government, and they understood the central role that Christianity and biblical morality played in it. John Adams put it best in his oft-quoted statement,

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.

Adams knew that there were only two things capable of containing humanity's inherent sin-nature driven lust to "do unto others before they do unto you." These were religion and morality, or else stringent government imposed from outside by force. Adams knew that our Constitutional system, set up as it was on the principles of liberty and small government, was not "armed with power capable of contending" with mankind unleashed from the strictures of objective morality. Either man self-governs through the influence of religion and morality, or else man must be governed by police, laws, judges, and dictators.

"Ah," one might counter, "what about atheists who lead good, and even moral lives?" "What of them?", I would respond. To a man, their morality and ethics are simply cherry-picked from the Judeo-Christian morality that underlies our Western sense of the dignity of the individual. Even in their rejection of biblicism, they still implicitly accept it, if they lead lives that they feel can credibly be called "moral" or "ethical" in the eyes of society at large. The reason they understand that harming others if bad and respecting the rights of others is good, is because that is the ethos in which they were raised and absorbed, even if they explicitly reject the religion which gave rise to the ethos.

The truth of Adams' proposition is seen all around us. Earlier, I wrote about the great sea changes in morality that took place in our nation several decades ago. It is unsurprising that, concomitant with the Sexual Revolution and the rejection of traditional Christianity in America by many of our people, a whole host of social ills came into prominence. If you look at the graphs of things like crime rates, illegitimacy, welfare recipiency, and so forth, every time, they are basically flatlined until the late 1960s, when they spike sharply and stay high. All of these social ills are the result of a lack of self-control in some form or fashion — a freedom from the restraints of traditional morality.

So where has that brought us now? Well, another thing that has attended to the increasing rejection of traditional morality in America is the loss of individual liberties. One cannot blame big government alone for the loss of individual liberties and personal freedom. After all, the 1930s saw one of the most drastic increases in the scope and size of government in American history — a scope and size that continued all throughout the following decades, I might add. Yet, one cannot really say that most Americans were fundamentally any less free in their ability to speak, think, read, write, worship, or protect themselves freely than they had been in the 1920s or the 1890s or the 1860s.

It wasn't until the collapse of a uniform sense of necessity for Judeo-Christian morality in America that our personal freedoms began to restrict and disappear. Why? Because a significant percentage of our population abandoned any sense of self-government, and therefore needed to be restrained externally through an increasingly enervating set of laws, regulations, rules, and stipulations on their lives — which unfortunately are applied to those who don't need them as well. For example, when large numbers of people don't allow the moral sense of respecting innocent life to overrule their passions, then murder and other violent crimes go up, which then have to be dealt with.

As such, it's not surprising that the government has become so much more blatant in the past few decades in overreaching from its constitutional boundaries. In some sense, it has had to, just to keep some semblance of order in America. As Adams said, when men won't self-govern, then they'll be governed by an external force which cannot be provided under a strictly constitutional system. These same people, then become dependant upon that government to give them everything else, just as it has given them the "capacity" to not make complete abjects out of themselves. In some sense, then, the fault for the unconstitutionality of so much of what our government does lies squarely at the feet of the "lifestyle libertarians" out there — those who have done so much to encourage among the gullible underclasses in our nation an end to real, practicable self-government in favor of a perverted sort of "self-government" which really amounts to little more than "if it feels good, do it."

Hence, we need to understand once again that if we as a people are to have liberty, then we have to regulate ourselves. You cannot have true liberty and at the same time have the reckless abandon that comes with the celebration of the homosexual lifestyle or the irresponsibility that characterizes the "need" for abortion. Conservatives need to begin making the case for WHY traditional morality is important. We need to understand that appeals to "tradition" alone, the argument that we need traditional morals because "we've always had them" won't wash.

Liberty and morality — self-government and self-control according to the positive ethical system embodied in Judeo-Christian biblicism — go hand in hand. You cannot have the former without having the latter. Lose morality, and you will sooner or later lose liberty. Without morality, we become less than men, we become herd animals who are controlled, directed, and exploited by the dictatorial governing caste that we accept as our overlords to keep us from destroying ourselves, and to give us the necessities that we become dependent upon them for. Moral fiber and independence go hand-in-hand. So also does enslavement to the passions with enslavement to the government. America is at a cusp right now — we have to choose which way we will go, and soon. Let us, as conservatives, stand up for the truths of conservative, Judeo-Christian morality in our government and in our society. This is not "theocracy," indeed it is just the opposite — it is liberty.

HEALTH WIN = DISASTER FOR DEMS

By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN

Published in the New York Post

If the Democrats obey President Obama's command and pass a health-care bill by the August recess, they'll be committing partisan suicide.

Obama's insistence that we completely remake our health-care system -- and do it two weeks after the first bill was marked up in the first committee -- is too arrogant by half. It smacks of the kind of overreaching of FDR's second term in 1937, when, after his landslide win in 1936, he tried to pack the Supreme Court to reverse its anti-New Deal rulings.

Americans are increasingly turning against Obama's program. A Washington Post poll has the plan's public approval below 50 percent; Rasmussen has it trailing 46-49.

For Obama to ride roughshod over Americans' rising concerns about a matter so intimate will be too much.

What's the rush? they'll ask. The bill isn't even slated to take effect until next year. You passed the stimulus package, they'll note, in a similar rush during the administration's first week -- only to see it fall flat. Now Obama aides are claiming the package was never intended to have much effect this year!

How, voters will ask, can we cover 50 million more people without any new doctors or nurses? The answer is to ration health care, with the government deciding who'll get hip and knee replacements, heart-bypass surgery and other medical treatments. And what does rationing mean? It means that the elderly will be denied care that they can now get whenever they want.

The Obama plan effectively repeals Medicare, putting a Federal Health Board between the elderly and their doctors. This board will instruct public and private insurance carriers on what procedures are to be approved, at what cost and for what patients.

The bulk of this rationing will fall on the elderly. We'll have to revisit the idea that the elderly have, in the words of former Colorado Gov. Dick Lamm, "a duty to die."

The more word gets out about what the bill contemplates, the firmer opposition will grow. That's why Obama wants to push it through now, while he retains some popularity.

And if the bill passes? The howls of protest from the elderly the first time they're denied care will be something to behold. It will become evident that the health-care resources being denied to the elderly are going instead to immigrants -- legal and not. The anger will be enormous and instant.

Most Americans aren't sick and don't use medical facilities often. But the elderly constantly stay in touch with their doctors and medical providers. The curtailment of that access will become immediately apparent -- and in more than enough time for the 2010 elections.

Some votes live on and on. People remember senators' votes on the Kuwait war resolution. President Bill Clinton chose Vice President Al Gore for the 1992 ticket largely based on Gore's vote in favor of the invasion. It sent a signal that Gore and he were a "new kind of Democrat."

This health-care vote is similarly consequential; it will linger for years.

Senate Conservatives Fund
Dear Fellow Conservative:

Once there was a poor farmer who wanted to become fabulously rich in the diamond trade. He deserted his farmland and traveled the world looking for diamonds until he was too old to look anymore. He returned home penniless, only to discover that the fields around his home were thick with flawless diamonds as big as your fist.

The poor guy’s fortune had been right under his nose, but he had wasted his whole life looking everywhere but in his own backyard.

Marco Rubio That old story came back to me earlier this year when I met Marco Rubio. He’s the 38-year old former speaker of the Florida House of Representatives running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Mel Martinez next year.

Rubio is the most impressive conservative leader I have met in a long time, a natural leader with an inspiring personal story and an even more inspiring vision for Florida and America.

He is at once a principled conservative and an accomplished legislator with a proven record of building broad coalitions to champion fiscal discipline, economic growth, and the American values of family, faith, and freedom.

That is why I hope you will CLICK HERE to support Marco Rubio's Senate campaign.

For months now, Republicans have been looking around, asking everyone they meet who our next leaders will be. And somehow, inexplicably, many of us have grown blind to the diamonds all around us. There are already many young, conservative leaders ready to fight for freedom in Washington and in state capitals all around the country.

But we’ll never find them if we only look for well-known politicians or choose our party’s direction based on the latest polls instead of timeless principles.

Marco Rubio is the son of Cuban exiles, who fled to the United States in the late 1950s without a dollar in their pocket. He tells inspiring stories about the neighborhoods where he grew up, and how America empowered his family to make a life for themselves.

Rubio did rise: to college and law school, to the City Commission in West Miami to the legislature, all the way to the speaker’s chair. From each of these positions, Rubio has championed a positive, principled, conservative agenda as the best way to create jobs and opportunities.

He is living the American Dream, and understands how much he owes to our Founders and their principles of personal liberty and limited government. He wants to serve because he wants to protect those principles.

When Marco Rubio swears an oath to our constitution, he’s one of those politicians who will actually mean it.

Everywhere he has gone, Rubio has stood up to liberal ideas and interest groups, and stood up for freedom. He has taken on daunting issues – from a statewide education curriculum to energy reform – and succeeded in persuading independents and Democrats that his ideas – innovative, conservative solutions – make for the best answers to our biggest challenges.

Here are a few examples of Marco's conservative record, and why the Senate Conservatives Fund has endorsed him:
  • Rubio has consistently opposed state tax increases and has signed a pledge to oppose federal income tax hikes.
  • Rubio opposed President Obama's stimulus bill and has pledged to fight wasteful spending in Washington.
  • Rubio opposes efforts to socialize medicine.
  • Rubio opposes government bailouts and supports tax cuts for individuals and businesses to grow the economy.
  • Rubio opposes President Obama's "cap and trade" scheme that includes a $650 billion tax increase and threatens to force Americans to pay higher energy prices.
  • Rubio opposes amnesty and believes we must secure our borders to stop illegal immigration.
  • Rubio is 100% pro-life, supports a waiting period to protect innocent unborn children, and has not waffled on protecting human life.
  • Rubio supports only strict constructionist judges who will interpret the law and won't legislate from the bench.
Marco Rubio is exactly the kind of Senator Florida needs, and exactly the kind of leader our party is looking for: a conservative’s conservative with a record of success in a swing state, a self-made first generation American, a dynamic Republican spokesman, a young husband and father himself dealing with the same problems middle class families like his face every day.

Marco Rubio

There is no question Marco Rubio will be a big part of the Republican Party’s future, but I believe if we are to defeat the forces of Big Government now controlling Washington, Marco Rubio needs to be a big part of the Republican Party’s present. He has the skills and ideas we need to rebuild our party, reform our government, and renew our nation.

That’s why Marco Rubio has my full support in his upcoming election.

Perhaps more than any other race in the country, this election is about whether we conservatives are going to stand up and fight for candidates who share our values.

Marco Rubio is not the biggest name in this race, and he won't have the most money, but he will win if conservatives in Florida and across the country rally behind him.

As someone who is in the Senate fighting each day to protect our freedoms, I can tell you that we desperately need leaders in the Senate who will stand up to the liberals in Washington. And we need those leaders now.

Thank you for your steadfast support for liberty.

Your friend,

Jim DeMint

PHOENIX -- A Social Security Administration motivational management conference held at a high-end Valley resort last week cost $700,000, the SSA told the ABC15 Investigators.

Costs for the conference at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa included airfare, hotel entertainment, dancers, motivational speakers, and food, an administration official said.

A spokesperson outside the SSA's Phoenix office declined to comment.

A spokesperson from the SSA's regional office said the conference was essential, that teleconferencing was not an option, and that all 675 managers needed to meet in person.

The SSA provided ABC15 with a list of courses provided at the conference, which included "Techniques to Empower You," "Mentoring the Generations," and "Emotional Intelligence."

But the information provided by the SSA did not mention an after-hours casino trip, family members staying at the hotel, or the 20-minute dance party ABC15 observed.

Rooms for the conference were booked at $85 per night, far below the $400-plus room rate in prime season.

The SSA said the entire conference was put out to bid and all employees flew coach class, including the commissioner.

The conference cost was still a tough pill to swallow for taxpayers.

"It sounds like a big rip off to me," one Phoenix resident said.

"That's not right," another Valley resident told ABC15 after watching video of conference events.

Social Security trustees said in May the program will start paying out more in benefits than it collects in taxes in 2016, and the program's trust fund will be depleted by 2037.

Chairman Steele Urges NAACP to Embrace GOP

BY KRISSAH THOMPSON

WASHINGTON POST NEWS SERVICE

NEW YORK — Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele stopped by the NAACP convention Tuesday to press the civil rights organization to consider his party an ally.

The NAACP’s relationship with the GOP has been strained for many years. Steele, the first African-American to lead the Republican Party, said he wanted his presence to signal to its members that they have options beyond the Democratic Party.

Reminding people of his membership in the Prince George’s County, Md., NAACP branch, Steele said he intends to depart from the "complete Republican’s guide to speaking to African-Americans."

"I spent some time looking at previous remarks by Republicans before this body," he said, "and I was struck by the litany of phrases that Republicans often cut and paste into a speech to this organization. ... ‘Party of Lincoln’ four or five times ... oh, and one of my favorites, ‘Bull Connor was a Democrat’."

The line generated laughs and polite applause from NAACP delegates in the Hilton Hotel ballroom. A few stared expressionless, but most were gracious — though not bowled over.

"I’m glad that he departed from the usual script," said NAACP President Benjamin Jealous.

In fact, Steele sprinkled his speech with self-effacing humor that poked fun at past Republican Party approaches to African-Americans, even as he proposed a different relationship.

"The GOP and NAACP have very often missed real opportunities to communicate and engage each other," he said. "Indeed, for the GOP and NAACP, outreach should mean more than a speech here and a pat on the back there.

"As the African-American middle class emerges and grows, the Republican Party wants to be a partner who works with you to put in place the tools necessary to sustain that growth and to bring out of poverty those so often left behind."

That line resonated with Willie Guest, president of the Lawton, Okla., NAACP chapter. "I’m glad he was here," Guest said. "What we know is no matter who is in the White House, we’ll still be in the poor house."

AG Eric Holder Drops Lawsuit Against Black Panther Voter Intimidators

Imagine if it was White KKK members preventing elderly blacks from voting: ya think Eric would drop the lawsuit then?..

Charges Against 'New Black Panthers' Dropped by Obama Justice Dept.

Three men were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force -- one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.
-
Charges brought against three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense under the Bush administration have been dropped by the Obama Justice Department, FOX News has learned.

The charges stemmed from an incident at a Philadelphia polling place on Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force -- one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.

The three black panthers, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were charged in a civil complaint in the final days of the Bush administration with violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats and intimidation. Shabazz allegedly held a nightstick or baton that prosecutors said he pointed at people and menacingly tapped it. Prosecutors also say he "supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews."

The Obama administration won the case last month, but moved to dismiss the charges on May 15.

The complaint says the men hurled racial slurs at both blacks and whites.

A poll watcher who provided an affidavit to prosecutors in the case noted that Bartle Bull, who worked as a civil rights lawyer in the south in the 1960's and is a former campaign manager for Robert Kennedy, said it was the most blatant form of voter intimidation he had ever seen.

In his affidavit, obtained by FOX News, Bull wrote "I watched the two uniformed men confront voters and attempt to intimidate voters. They were positioned in a location that forced every voter to pass in close proximity to them. The weapon was openly displayed and brandished in plain sight of voters."

He also said they tried to "interfere with the work of other poll observers ... whom the uniformed men apparently believed did not share their preferences politically," noting that one of the panthers turned toward the white poll observers and said "you are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker."

A spokesman for the Department of Justice told FOX News, "The Justice Department was successful in obtaining an injunction that prohibits the defendant who brandished a weapon outside a Philadelphia polling place from doing so again. Claims were dismissed against the other defendants based on a careful assessment of the facts and the law. The department is committed to the vigorous prosecution of those who intimidate, threaten or coerce anyone exercising his or her sacred right to vote."

IT'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OCA friends..it's back..the Obama Birth certificate issue. Wikipedia the official LIBERAL online encyclopedia has now said Obama was born in Kenya. This is a new update for them. The OCA will stay with this drama regarding the birth of the ONE!

BORN IN THE USA?

Wikipedia says Obama born in Kenya
Online encyclopedia can't make up its mind on president's birthplace

Wikipedia just can't seem to make up its mind about where President Barack Obama was born.

The free, online encyclopedia this afternoon displayed at least two countries the commander in chief may have been born in – the United States and Kenya.

WND documented how the entry for the "Early life and career of Barack Obama" changed numerous times.

At 4:45 p.m. Eastern, Wikipedia said:

"Barack Obama, the current President of the United States, was born on August 4, 1961 in either Honolulu, in the state of Hawaii[1], or Mombasa, Kenya, to Barack Obama, Sr. (1936–1982) (born in Nyang’oma Kogelo, Siaya District, Nyanza Province,[2] Kenya Colony, British Empire), and Ann Dunham (1942–1995) (born in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas).[3][4] On his mother's side he has a half-sister; on his father's side, Obama has two half-sisters and five surviving half-brothers.[5]"

Conservapedia

Conservapedia, launched on November 21, 2006, is a conservative, family-friendly Wiki encyclopedia. It was founded by teacher and attorney Andrew Schlafly with the help of several students from his fall 2006 World History class. In May 2008, Schlafly and some of his homeschooled students appeared on the CBC news program The Hour (see: Videos on Conservapedia ).

When a student handed in her paper using the date-markers “BCE” and "CE” from Wikipedia, Schlafly realized that Wikipedia, despite its claim of neutrality, contained bias against the achievements of Christianity and conservatism. Other occasions of liberal bias, including the reversion of factual edits about the 2005 Kansas Evolution Hearings, led to the creation and launch of Conservapedia.

Though Conservapedia originally contained mostly history articles, it has grown over two years to be a general reference, with information about history, math, science, politics, religion and other topics. It also contains debates, essays and educational resources.

In March 2007 it was picked up by the media, and faced a barrage of vandalism (See Examples of Moronic Vandalism by the "tolerant"). Ever since then, it has continued to grow, and now has tens of millions of page views, and enjoys prominence on search engines.

The OCA asks that you begin using Conservapedia and share with your friends. Take some time at their site, you will love it as the OCA does.

From Russia -- Without Love

http://www.nogw.com/images/blackwell-cnp.jpg

By Ken Blackwell

President Obama's recent trip to Russia contrasts sharply with Ronald Reagan's 1988 visit to Moscow. President Reagan reached out to the Russian people, too. He gave the first nationally televised speech ever delivered-uncensored-to the peoples of Russia.

Reagan made a point of speaking of religious freedom and invoking God's blessing on the Russian people.

Like Obama, Reagan also spoke to elite students. But unlike Obama, Reagan made a point of telling students at Moscow State University in the most civil terms why despotism was wrong. The Information Age then in its dawn was physically based, he told the sons and daughters of the Communist Party's nomenklatura, on the silicon dioxide chip. This chip is the same material substance as sand. But, Reagan emphasized, in order for the computer revolution to succeed, there must be freedom.

His bright listeners could read between the lines. He was telling them Marxism was wrong, that Communism was a failure. He was saying you cannot compete in the computer revolution if you have to station a KGB agent at every computer terminal.

Watching President Reagan delivering these liberating truths-under a scowling statue of Vladimir Lenin-you half expected the old Bolshevik's bald bust to fall off its pedestal. In a few months, Lenin statues would be toppling all over the Soviet empire.

Obama's approach was completely different. Most unwisely, Obama showed disrespect for Vladimir Putin while showing elaborate courtesy to Dmitri Medvedev. Obama spoke about "setting the reset button" in U.S.-Russian relations. (I don't know how to spell "reset" in Russian, but apparently Hillary Clinton's State Department can't spell it, either.)

Anyone who has followed post-Cold War Russia knows that it is Putin and not Medvedev who is calling the shots. Obama's failed attempt to jolly up Medvedev while giving the cold shoulder to Putin is like hugging the monkey while dissing the organ grinder.

Imagine if FDR had insisted on meeting with President Kalinin instead of Joe Stalin during World War II. Everyone then knew that if you wanted to deal with Russia, you had to deal with Russia's real boss.

President Reagan set the bar for dealing with Russians. There is no more Soviet Union, largely because Reagan helped bring down an evil empire-without war. He never got a Nobel Peace Prize, of course. Those are reserved for the likes of Yasser Arafat, the inventor of air piracy. But Obama could learn a lot from Ronald Reagan. What part of his success would we want to "reset?"

Obama Said  We're Out of Money;

But Now He's Pitching Porkulus 2!

RUSH: I found a quote, by the way, back from May 23rd. Because the last couple of days, the Obama administration has been leaking the possibility of a second stimulus out there.  I remember the sobering holiday interview with C-SPAN back on May 23rd.

This is during the Memorial Day weekend. Obama said to Americans, "We are out of money."

Steve Scully of C-SPAN broke from a week of having Washington press Corps's probing questions for the new president, and Scully said, "You know, the numbers, $1.7 trillion debt, a national deficit of $11 trillion. At what point do we run out of money?"

Obama:  "Well, we're outta money now."

Not that that will stop him.  I just want you to keep that in mind as Obama ratchets up this talk of perhaps a second stimulus package.

Barack Obama, The Enemy of Democracy

The more one sees President Obama in action the more you realize that the leader of the free world is not a big fan of democracy.

Take a look at his foreign policy, with few exceptions he has positioned the United States against the force of democracy in the world. He has insulted out close allies in Great Britain by dissing their Prime Minister when he came to visit; no state dinner, no press conference and to top it all off President Obama gave the Prime Minister a crappy take-home gift, old DVDs. Then he insulted France when he refused to have dinner with their president, even though he was a guest in their country. While he was moving away from our democratic allies, he has been moving closer to the repressive regimes within the Muslim world, literally bowing down to the likes of Saudi Arabia. He has even moved away from our number one ally in the Middle East, the democracy Israel, in order to seduce a terrorist Palestinian regime.

The most glaring examples of the Presidential distaste for Democracy can be seen in two recent international crises, Iran and Honduras. Each time Obama has taken the side of the oppressors against the forces of democracy, each time, he has done it because he wants to create a friendship with the oppressive regime

On Sunday, Mr. Obama's consigliere was asked about Iran by ABC's George Stephanopoulos and NBC's David Gregory. Mr. Gregory asked whether there "should be consequences" for the regime's violent suppression of peaceful demonstrations. "The consequences, I think, will unfold over time in Iran," answered Mr. Axelrod.

Mr. Stephanopoulos quoted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying that "this time, the Iranian nation's reply will be harsh and more decisive to make the West regret its meddlesome stance." Said Mr. Axelrod, "I'm not going to entertain his bloviations that are politically motivated." As for whether the administration wasn't selling short the demonstrators, Mr. Axelrod could only say that "the president's sense of solicitude with those young people has been very, very clear."

Bottom line from Mr. Axelrod, and presumably Mr. Obama, too: "We are going to continue to work through . . . the multilateral group of nations that are engaging Iran, and they have to make a decision, George, whether they want to further isolate themselves in every way from the community of nations, or whether they are going to embrace that."

Translation: People of Iran -- best of luck!

The President of Honduras tried to illegally plot to hold on power. The Courts and their congress ordered the presidident removed from power, the Army Complied and returned power to the Honduras Congress. Once again a nation trying to hold onto freedom, once again, our President takes a position against democracy.
President Obama on Monday declared that the United States still considers Manuel Zelaya to be the president of Honduras and assailed the coup that forced him into exile as "not legal," deepening the chasm between the Central American nation and much of the rest of the world.

"It would be a terrible precedent if we start moving backwards into the era in which we are seeing military coups as a means of political transition rather than democratic elections," Obama said in the Oval Office after meeting with Colombian President Alviro Uribe. "The region has made enormous progress over the last 20 years in establishing democratic traditions in Central America and Latin America. We don't want to go back to a dark past."

Leaders from across the Western Hemisphere and beyond called for return to power of Zelaya, who arrested on Sunday morning by soldiers who stormed his residence and forced him into exile. The country now has another president appointed by its Congress, Roberto Micheletti, who insisted that Zelaya was legally removed by the courts and Congress for violating Honduras' constitution and attempting to extend his own rule.

"We are very clear about the fact that President Zelaya is the democratically elected president," Obama said.

The United States, he said, will work the Organization of American States and other bodies to try to resolve the conflict peacefully.

The OAS was holding an emergency session on the crisis Tuesday. Source
One would expect that the president of the United States of America would be a big supporter of the forces of Democracy, that is what the office has always stood for, but his this is one more example of "Change"

Miliband tells Clinton of UK anger over secret U.S. deal to transfer Guantanamo inmates to Bermuda behind Britain's back

By Mail Foreign Service

David Miliband said today he had exchanged words with U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton about America's secret transfer of Guantanamo detainees to a UK territory.

Their conversation came amid anger in Whitehall that British officials were not consulted before the four former terror suspects were flown to Bermuda last week.

The Foreign Office was deliberately kept in the dark about the deal despite retaining authority over the territory's foreign and security issues.

Mr Miliband, the Foreign Secretary, told the Foreign Affairs Select Committee today: 'Their status is still unclear.'

'We are obviously in touch with the American authorities. I've spoken to Secretary Clinton about it. I gave her my explanation of what I believe...'

Asked whether it was a frank conversation, Mr Miliband said: 'It's always a friendly conversation wi

'Obviously it happened last Thursday and we are on the case at the moment.'

He made clear his frustration with the Bermudian authorities' actions and indicated Britain had no intention of taking any more Guantanamo detainees than the 13 it already had.

'The UK has done its bit in terms of Guantanamo,' he said.

He added that the four, who are Chinese Muslim Uighurs, were unable to travel anywhere at present because they lacked official papers.

He admitted they could only be sent back to the U.S., 'if the Americans agreed to take them'.

The U.S. is currently completing a security assessment of the former detainees.

But, even if they are not regarded as a threat, there is huge opposition in Congress to their return to the U.S.

The deal to take the four, who the U.S. government ruled were not enemy combatants, was agreed by Bermuda's premier, Ewart Brown.

Mr Miliband said: 'It shouldn't have been decided by the Bermudians on their own.

'The Bermudians said this was an immigration case and immigration is their province but actually anything to do with agreements with foreign countries requires the engagement of the United Kingdom.'

It has been claimed that the U.S. deliberately decided not to tell Britain about moving the detainees to Bermuda, a sub-tropical island about 650 miles off America's east coast.

According to the BBC, Washington opted to send the men to Bermuda in order to prevent a potential rift between the UK and China, which has demanded the return of the Uighurs.

U.S. officials opted to keep details of the deal from London until the last minute to enable Britain to deny all knowledge of the deal and thus avoid China's anger, the BBC said.

The decision has ignited a political firestorm in Bermuda, with the opposition United Bermuda Party tabling a no confidence motion in the Premier's 'reckless' rule of the island.

A protest is being held in Bermuda today and rival marches are planned on Thursday to protest the decision. Many appear to agree that taking in the detainees is a humanitarian gesture, though nervousness remains over their link to terrorism and how their time in Guantanamo Bay may have affected them.

However the majority of anger on the island at the Guantanamo decision is directed at what many view as Dr Brown's autocratic style of rule rather than the detainees themselves.

A satirical music video entitled 'Time to Go (An Ode to Ewart Brown) has been posted on YouTube, while one Bermudian wrote on Facebook: 'It's not xenophobia - people are just getting tired of EB... very tired...'

However the Premier still has a strong support base within the Cabinet, his party, and within grassroots supporters of his Progressive Labour Party.

Mr Miliband's comments about Bermuda came during a wider-ranging hearing as part of a human rights inquiry by the foreign affairs committee.

The Foreign Secretary rejected any notion of British collusion with torture overseas.

'There is no equivocation about the Government's position in respect of torture,' he said.

'We abhor torture, we will not cooperate or collude with it.

'And in line with our international commitments we are honour bound not just to avoid wrongdoing ourselves, but also to try to reduce or if possible eliminate the use of cruel or inhuman treatment or torture around the world.'

He said the UK's intelligence personnel had 'high ethics' who held themselves to 'very high standards'.

But he stressed that Britain had to work with other countries around the world, some of whom had different legal frameworks and standards.

'Our role, as ministers, agency heads and officials is to ensure that we do not collude with torture and secondly that we try to reduce its use in other countries.'

Mr Miliband was questioned at length about relations with Washington and American use of British territories.

Last year he was forced to admit that U.S. rendition flights had stopped twice at Diego Garcia in 2002, contrary to previous assertions.

Challenged about how sure he could be that those two flights were the extent of America's use of Diego Garcia, Mr Miliband said: 'I have had assurances from the highest level that there are no cases beyond those two cases.'

Despite Washington going behind London's back to secure the Guantanamo deal with Bermuda, he went on: 'We can be confident that our closest intelligence ally and foreign policy ally seeks to honour its trust with us in all respects.'

Mr Miliband said cooperation between the U.S. and the UK was of a 'unique standing' based on 'mutual trust'.

Britain is said to be examining its relationship with Bermuda. The island is a self-governing territory, but its 1968 constitution left the British governor with some key powers - including over foreign affairs and security.

Britain to take over Turks and Caicos in corruption row

The British Government is set to impose direct rule over the Turks and Caicos islands as early as tomorrow.

The move comes after an inquiry found that the government of the British overseas territory under former leader Michael Misick was riddled with corruption.

The Foreign Office has drawn up an Order in Council that suspends the constitution of the self-governing island. It will be presented at Parliament.

Mr Misick is seeking a ruling at the High Court in London that the suspension of the constitution, and with it the right to a trial by jury, is a violation of human rights.

It is expected that the British governor on the island will rule for at least two years.

This Is How The Iranian Government Supports Democracy,This Is What Happened To The People After They Protested That Their Votes Had Been Cheated Away From Them!!!

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.
You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America ' crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals..
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaugh’s, Hannitys, O'Reilly's and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.Lou Pritchett

History Unfolding

I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books on history that have been published in six languages, and I have studied history all my life. I have come to think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is simply a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it.. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something  happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten to fifteen years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people we know they can never pay back? Why?We learned just days ago that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has "loaned" two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700 billion we all argued about so strenuously just this past September. Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of "we the people," who loaned our powers to our elected leaders.  Apparently not.We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy. Why?We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding  documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, school boards continue to back mediocrity. Why?We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it simply wants marriage to remain defined as between one man and one woman.  Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?) We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose? Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, social security is nearly bankrupt, as is medicare and our entire government. Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and I know precisely what I am talking about) - the list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth.. It is potentially 1929 x  ten... And we are at war with an enemy we cannot even name for fear of offending people of the same religion, who, in turn, cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.And finally, we have elected a man that no one really knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla, Alaska . All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders? No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it. Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe are more important.)Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word: Change. Why?I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now.

This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again. And that is only the beginning..As a serious student of history,  I thought I would never come to experience what the ordinary, moral German must have felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the "savior" was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the
streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they should have known was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory. Conservative "losers" read it right now.And there were the promises. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and frowned and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his "brown shirts" would bully and beat them into submission. Which they did - regularly. And then, he was duly elected to office, while a full-throttled economic crisis bloomed at hand - the Great Depression. Slowly, but surely
he seized the controls of government power, person by person, department by department, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The children of German citizens were at first, encouraged to join a Youth Movement in his name where they were taught exactly what to think. Later, they were required to do so. No Jews of course,How did he get people on his side? He did it by promising jobs to the jobless, money to the money-less, and rewards for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe , and across the world. He did it with a compliant media - did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and ....... change.    And the people surely got what they voted for.If you think I am exaggerating, look it up. It's all there in the history books. So read your history books.. Many people of conscience objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and ridiculed. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though. And the world came to regret that he was not listened to.Do not forget that Germany was the most educated, the most cultured country in Europe.  It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And yet, in less than six years (a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency) it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors.. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me..I choose to believe the evidence. No doubt some people will scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. To some degree, perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe-and why I believe it.I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am. Perhaps the only hope is our vote in the next elections.David Kaiser   Jamestown , Rhode IslandUnited States

American Capitalism Gone With A Whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them? These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Life Or Death For Israel In The Time Of "Apocalypse"

By: Louis Rene Beres

How desperately I would like to be more "positive" in these columns. Like my ever-faithful readers here at The Jewish Press, I would dearly welcome an opportunity - any opportunity - to discover some real evidence of genuine progress toward peace in the Middle East. But, as always, we Jews are especially obligated to look squarely at things the way they are. Recalling our history as a people, we simply should not expect that our most optimistic inclinations will somehow be wished into truth. And the truth, my dear readers, dreary as always, remains unassailable. In fact, threats to literally annihilate Israel are now unremarkable. Almost nowhere do we find any reason for camouflage or concealment. Were it not for Israel's "bomb in the basement" - its still-unacknowledged nuclear force - these openly genocidal threats would represent much more than verbal bluster. Nonetheless, barring any last-minute Israeli preemptions (anticipatory self-defense under international law), Iran's ascent to full membership in the Nuclear Club is now less than several years away.Such membership may also coincide with a persisting Iranian leadership belief in the Shi'ite apocalypse. Israel, therefore, might soon have to face not only Palestinian suicide-bombers, but also what amounts to the "suicide bomber" in macrocosm.Let us never forget the truth that still stares us in the face. The goal of all Israel's Islamist enemies is simply Jewish extermination. Significantly, this goal is not hidden. In the bitterest of ironies, our ancient nation that was ingathered and reborn to prevent another Holocaust has now become the explicit and determined focus of a second "Final Solution."In essence, the goal of all Israel's enemies, especially Iran and the still-impending Palestinian state, is to be left standing while Israel is made to disappear. For these enemies, there can be no coexistence with Israel. Never. This is because their own indispensable survival presumably requires Israel's extinction. Here in the U.S., President Obama does not appear to understand. Again, Mr. Obama has extolled the clichéd virtues of an altogether twisted cartography. Ironically, in the fashion of his predecessor, Mr. Obama also favors the "Road Map to Peace in the Middle East." Yet, like the ill-fated Oslo Agreements that came before, this one-sided plan is still premised on Israel's coerced acceptance of land for nothing. It would be a fatal mistake for Israel to believe that Reason and Justice govern the world. It would be a grievous error for Israel to continue to project its own Western, rational and humane sentiments upon the most relentless and barbarous Jihadistfoes. It would assuredly be a "life risk" for Israel to seek to endure by continuing to cling to numbingly false promises and manifestly false hopes.Barack Obama will not save Israel. Once Iran has decided to launch nuclear missiles at Israel - possibly a plausible prospect in a few years, Washington's only real assistance would be to help Jerusalem bury the dead. And for this, whole Israeli cities would have to be transformed into a giant cemetery.Whether in Gaza, Judea/Samaria or Tehran, Israel's Jihadistenemies wish to kill Jewsbecause any such homicide is always felt to be a sacred obligation. For these enemies, killing Jews is indisputably a praiseworthy expression of religious sacrifice. Such killing is expected to confer immunity from personal death. Could there ever be a more precious or compelling expectation? The idea of death as a zero-sum commodity - "I kill you; I therefore remain alive forever" -has been explained elsewhere. It is captured perfectly, for example, in Ernest Becker's grotesque paraphrase of Nobel Laureate Elias Canetti: "Each organism raises its head over a field of corpses, smiles into the sun, and declares life good."To stay alive, Israel must finally understand what Otto Rank had once revealed in his Truth and Reality: "The death fear of the ego is lessened by the killing, the Sacrifice, of the other; through the death of the other, one buys oneself free from the penalty of dying, of being killed." This very difficult and subtle insight is at the very heart of Islamist orientations to Israel. It explains almost everything about these genocidal orientations.Israel's enemies, in order to remain standing - and to prevent Israel from standing up - seek to sacrifice the Jewish State on an endlessly blood-stained altar of war and terrorism. Sacrifice is central to what is now happening in the Middle East. Genocidal destruction of Israel is integrally part of a system of religious worship that is directed toward an enhancement of life, and - simultaneously - the conquest of personal death. The true source of global influence is power, and the highest expression of power is always the conquest of death. For Iran, and for that proposed government (Hamas, Fatah, it makes little difference) of executioners now battling each other for control of some future Palestinian state, killing Jews - indeed, killing Israel itself - offers an incomparable fusion of private ecstasy and personal survival. These sworn enemies of Israel are more than dimly aware that in killing Jews and in "killing" Israel, they will also have killed their own death. For the Islamist "martyr," whether as a terrorist individual or as a murderous individual writ large, killing Jews and the Jewish State is the optimal way of affirming life. The overwhelming security costs to Israel of former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's Gaza "disengagement" are now plain to see. To the extent that Hamas continues to collaborate closely in Gaza with al-Qaeda, these costs may soon also have to be borne by citizens of the United States. Hamas has begun to allow al-Qaeda to fashion various terror weapons and tactics for potential use in New York, London, Washington and certain other selected "crusader" targets in the West. It is finally time for an American president to recognize that Israel's implacable enemies are also the sworn enemies of this country. Indeed, with such recognition, Israel would stand a far better chance of meaningful U.S. support and consequently of long-term security.Copyright © The Jewish Press, June 5, 2009. The First We All Hate America Debate

May 26th, 2009 by jeannieology

Jeannie D'Ambra DeAngelis

In a “…season of new beginnings” the hope and change President Barack Obama has expressed he “…would like to speak clearly to Iran’s leader. The Iranian dictator has responded by saying he would welcome a debate with the president if it was held in an unbiased, anti-Semitic venue like the United Nations. As a concerned resident of the global community it is unlikely Barack Obama would decline such a gracious opportunity to interact face-to-face with the maligned despot.

The Iranian leader is preparing the debate arena by drawing a chalk line across the floor. In hopes of wooing Obama to the conversation Mahmoud is industriously removing stones and rocks by rejecting “Western proposals for Iran to ‘freeze’ its nuclear work in return for no new sanctions.” In addition, Mr. Mahmoud is warming up the dais by delineating additional margins for his opponent by the friendly dispatch of warships to, “…international waters and the Gulf of Aden…indicative of his country’s high military capability in confronting any foreign threat on the country’s shore.

Hopeful that Barack Obama will agree to the contest, Mahmoud is also preparing the pre-debate fallow ground by bald-facedly precluding their discussion by saying, “…the dispute over his country’s nuclear program is ‘over.” Obama will likely agree to Mahmoud’s qualifications or he would be setting preconditions of his own after vowing to the global community to have none. If Barry favors bantering with the Iranian dictator, which would be a photo opportunity not to be squandered, submissively steering clear of nuclear issues and a surrendering all preconditions would make Obama the precondition dupe.

In an attempt to justify his positions, Ahmadenjad appears anxious to engage the novice American president in direct dialogue about things he has been openly discussing worldwide since January 20th, which is the origin of the global problems. Mahmoud is probably more than willing to review with Barack his unending punch list of apologies and address US culpability as the origin of most global woes, a subject the US president is adept at reiterating every chance he gets. For Ahmadenjad a debate with Obama could evolve into a convivial love-fest replete with duplications of Obama’s derogatory American sentiments.

Debate is supposed to be verbal interaction between people with opposing viewpoints who argue to make their position known in an attempt to convince their opponent to convert to their way of thinking. This would not be the case if Obama agrees to an Ahmadenjad repartee. For a mediocre debater like Barack Obama, debating Ahmadenjad would merely be an opportunity to win a contest, or at least score a respectable draw by sparring with a challenger who shares analogous opinions on  his own anti-American views.

Obama agreeing to debate could benefit both he and Mahmoud, furthering both their agendas. They could enlist CNN Palestinian sympathizer Christine Amanpour to frame all the pertinent questions. 60 Minutes, interviewer Mike Wallace could set the tone by allowing Ahmadenjad the time to confront Obama on how the United States has been disengaged and sought to dictate their terms to the rest of the world. Obama, who is of same opinion as the Iranian dictator, can then recap exactly what he expressed at the Summit of the Americas in Port of Spain Trinidad.

Ahmadenjad can then proceed to tell Obama that the United States is an, Israel loving nation at war with Islam and accuse America of breaking trust with the Eastern Hemisphere. Barack can concur by saying, “It is true that the trust that binds the United States with places where the Muslim faith has been practiced has been strained because of past administrations?” He can then guarantee that, “We are not at war with Muslims, especially not Iran,” which will surely warrant break time for kisses on both Obama’s cheeks and a big Persian hug from his new found comrade.

Addressing the global economic crisis Ahmadenjad can verbally indict the, “Leaders of the Western bloc … for trying to extend their own crisis to the rest of the globe to portray it as global. Again, Obama can come along side his Iranian fellow world citizen and agree,It is true that the economic crisis that the world is experiencing started in the US? Before the first buzzer goes off Barack Obama can fit in taking responsibility, apologizing and coinciding with Iran’s tyrant that he is in fact correct emphasizing he too is relieved that the United States’ has lost high standing in the world. Obama’s full accord should result in Ahmadenjad breaking out in a full unbridled bandari dance.

After he calms down Mahmoud can then express gratitude to Obama for wresting banks out of the hands of the Zionist bankers who are largely responsible for the world’s financial woes. Then Mahmoud can thank the UN for sponsoring the debate acknowledging with pride their long history of rightly felt anti-Jewish bias and condemnation of Israel in much the style and manner of Barack Obama’s long time mentor and pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright . Barack can express to the panel that even Reverend Wright would agree that notwithstanding His Jewishness, “…had He been alive today, Jesus Christ would be on the side of Iran, not the West.”

Impartial journalist Christine Amanpour can then address Bush’s “war mongering” approach to the Middle East and the former president’s past mistakes in the same manner Obama has expressed the world over. Mahmoud can offer unfettered praise to Obama for exposing Bush for the failure he was. Ms. Amanpour can touch on Bush’s counterterrorism policies and refer to them as torture and then both Ahmadenjad and Obama can in unison give Bush a duo thumbs down reaching between podiums for a customary fist bump.

Obama can remind his rival that even his newest compadre Hugo Chavez felt George W. Bush was responsible for the world’s economic crisis and desired to see the ex-President put on trial. Mahmoud will likely suggest to Obama that Bush be tried for his economic foibles at the same time the administration prosecutes him for war crimes and torture…Obama might be apt to applaud Mahmoud for such an obviously efficient proposal.

Mahmoud can again stress discussions are “Over” concerning Iranian nuclear proliferation aspirations and thank Mr. Obama for his submissive attitude on the subject. If Obama ruffles a tad, Mahmoud can tamp down his reaction by rearticulating how, “Regardless of what Mr. Obama says, even he has admitted that ‘All too often the United States starts by dictating…and they don’t always know all the factors that are involved.’ Obama has even said, America needs to listen more…even the president of the Great Satan admits mistakes and lack of perfection. So why Iran should be forced to comply with their wishes?” When Obama is slated to reply he can again be of the same mind as the Iranian despot saying, “You have an excellent point there my brother.”

Three quarters of the way through the debate, it should be evident that every quarrel Ahmadenjad has against the United States has been one that Obama has commiserated with. Even Christine Amanpour might be forced to ask the obvious question, is this any way to run a debate?

Addressing the high level of agreement between the two world leaders Obama, speaking on his own behalf can then express to the CNN reporter, a beaming Ahmadenjad and a slack jawed Mike Wallace. “I’ve always been someone who’s brought people of different views together by trying to reach a higher level of candor and honesty and understanding. Moreover, that has worked well for me…always addressing our own imperfections. I want to understand my Iranian brother’s hurts, pains and feelings.” Mahmoud will obviously be so thrilled with Obama’s response he will likely embrace the president and squeeze him to the point of bear hug embarrassment.

Obama may be forced to push the Iranian leader off and point him back to his stead. After regaining his composure Ahmadenjad can then turn to Barack Obama and thank him for never stringently opposing his nuclear ambitions. And, in an effort to finally end the Middle East crisis, for understanding Iran’s jihad justified desire to wipe Israel off the map. He can express appreciation for Obama by admitting that even though the Persian culture might be a little different he is relieved he can exercise candor and honesty without the risk of the American president instituting new sanctions, threatening military action or going beyond stating, “Let me be perfectly clear…this is unacceptable.” Ahmadenjad can convey overwhelming gratitude that Obama’s supercilious rhetoric is never followed-up by action!

Obama can then conclude by telling Ahmadenjad that exposing America’s deficiencies has worked well in bringing people of different views together. It won him an election! It has become the hallmark of his inexperienced, anti-American, leftist agenda presidency, gaining him new like minded colleagues all around the nuclear obsessed world.

Wrapping up Obama can acknowledge that without a word of decent he accomplished the impossible his first successful debate tie with both parties in complete concurrence.

A Growing Divergence

between

Jerusalem and Washington?

Efraim Inbar

BESA Center Perspectives Papers No. 75

Despite the reassurances of Shimon Peres and of foreign ministry officials, American Middle Eastern policy under Obama may lead to US-Israeli tensions. However, the policy directions adopted by Washington have significance for American national interests and the defense of the free world that go far beyond the Washington-Jerusalem bilateral relationship. While as a superpower the US has large margins of error, we have to pray that its learning curve regarding international realities will be short.

Obama's intention to "engage" countries like Iran and Syria in order to start a "new page" in bilateral relations strike most Israelis and Mideast Arabs as naïve; as if nice words can change established national interests. Arabs, as well, as Israel, want to see Iran and its proxies rolled-back, not appeased, by Washington.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's recent statement to the effect that Arab support for Israel's bid to preventthe nuclearization of Iran requires Israeli flexibility on the Palestinian issue - is similarly worrisome. It is hard to believe that the State Department does not understand that the moderate Arab states will cooperate to stop Iran from acquiring a nuclear bomb regardless of the Palestinian issue. The Iranian threat dwarfs any potential repercussions of an impasse in the Israeli-Palestinian track.
Above all, preventing a nuclear Iran is a paramount American interest. If Washington's current prism on world affairs obfuscates its strategic judgment, the West is in trouble.

Recently, we also learned that the White House is trying to make kosher the transfer of funds to a Palestinian government that includes the radical Islamist Hamas. This is another sign of strategic folly. Hamas, a recognized terrorist organization, is an Iranian proxy, with a clear Jihadist agenda. Hamas has strong ties to the Islamic opposition in Egypt that wants to replace the pro-Western Mubarak regime. Arab moderate states are alarmed by the resilience of Hamas' rule in Gaza and the last thing they want is to aid this radical organization. The struggle against Hamas, just as the quest to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power, serves American interests and those of its allies in the Middle East. It is only marginally related to Israel. Unfortunately, Obama's Washington does not get it yet.

Leaders in the moderate Arab states view Obama's early initiatives with great apprehension. Israelis are similarly skeptical. According to a poll commissioned last month by the ADL and the BESA Center for Strategic Studies, only 37 percent of Israelis trust Obama to make the right decisions on the Arab-Israeli conflict, and 63 percent believe that his rapprochement with the Arab and Moslem world will come at Israel's expense.  Japanese citizens expressed similar critical attitudes towards Obama after the timid American response to the North Korean long range missile launch and Pyonyang's decision to restart its nuclear reactor.

The reason for the skepticism is clear. US attempts to endear itself to the Muslim world have failed in the past, such as when the US sided with Muslims in Pakistan, Bosnia and Kosovo. Likewise, attempts to appease Muslim actors such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hamas and Hizballah, project American weakness and are unlikely to be reciprocated with conciliatory policies. American gestures only reinforce the belief that the decadent West will eventually succumb to Muslim determination and cultural superiority.

Furthermore, the chances for progress toward a two-state solution in the Israeli-Palestinian arena, which the US favors, are dismal. The two national movements cannot reach a compromise, particularly as long as the
Palestinians refuse to accept the Jewish right to self-determination. Furthermore, the Palestinians have failed to establish a functioning centralized state, and the centrifugal tendencies will intensify with Hamas ruling Gaza. The growing influence of Hamas in Palestinian politics radicalizes Palestinian society and weakens its ability to reach and implement a settlement with Israel.

Similarly, negotiations with Syria are not likely to end in a peace treaty. Damascus is not ready to pay the price: disconnecting from Iran and losing Israel as a convenient enemy with which to prop-up the Alawite regime. Damascus sees a weak America on its way out from Iraq and has no reason to distance itself from Iran, the rising power in the Middle East. Since 1976, all American attempts to put a wedge between Damascus and Tehran have failed. It is not clear if Obama can offer Bashar Assad more than his
predecessors.

In the Middle East, misguided American policies, particularly regarding Iran, may have disastrous consequences such as the fall of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey into Islamist hands. Under such a scenario, Israel would remain the only country where an American airplane could land safely in the
Middle East; this is not a thought that Jerusalem relishes. Israel would much prefer that President Obama get up to speed on Mideast realities as quickly as possible.

RESISTING O'S WORLD -

STICK TO YOUR GUNS, REPUBLICANS

By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN

Gen. Colin Powell is wrong to say that the Republican Party must move to the center: Now is not the time to try for triangulation.

This is a time for the party to stand firm on its principles until this nation again comes around to the GOP's way of thinking. This process will be driven by the consequences of President Obama's program.

The challenge brought by Obama is no longer just theoretical: He means to pass the ultimate leftist agenda and has the votes to do so.

As a result, our nation will be unrecognizable well before the 2010 elections. Business will march to a beat drummed in Washington. The top producers will be hounded by confiscatory taxation. A majority will pay nothing or receive government welfare. Our health-care system will be destroyed. Illegal immigrants will be well on their way to citizenship.

Obama's brave new world will be the subject of the 2010 elections. We believe that his Congress will be swept from power as a result.

We think that inflation will join a lingering recession -- giving us recess-flation -- and that high unemployment will continue. Voters will recognize the damage to their health care as bureaucrats weigh in to prevent them from getting the care they need. Our security and defense failures may well have cost us Pakistan, and the nightmare of a nuclear-armed terrorist state may have already come true (even before Iran).

All America will be watching the Obama fallout, and Republicans must be seen as a clear alternative -- a strong voice for reversal of the harm the president will have inflicted -- if they are to benefit from this catastrophe.

If the GOP is seen as a moderate force, a party just looking to split the difference, voters will cynically conclude that there is no distinction between the parties.

There is a season for triangulation and a season for confrontation. When America faces a new challenge -- such as what the financial crisis now poses -- we look to the left and right for new answers. We want the debate to rage. Those who seek to paper over are ignored. Such was the fate of the first President Bush in 1992 and of Sen. John McCain in 2008.

But once the debate has raged and the alternatives have been fleshed out, voters want a consensus, a Hegelian synthesis, on how to move in a new direction. They want to extract the best from each alternative and combine them. This is triangulation (a term coined by Dick).

To ignore the demand for synthesis and insist on continuing the debate is to suffer the fate of Sen. Bob Dole in 1996 and Sen. John Kerry in 2004.

This process -- polarization, debate, synthesis and action -- is how America has always moved ahead. We are not Japan; we use the debate to see the options. And we are not Italy or France; we come to conclusions and act upon them, eventually leaving the debate far behind.

Now another great debate has been born. The thesis is democratic socialism. The antithesis is free-market capitalism.

The Obama Democrats have posed the challenge. It's up to the Republicans to fight along these lines. Compromise is not an option, yet.

At some point, the synthesis will set in. But now is the time for clear alternatives and sharp disagreement. Only later can we hope to extract America from the leftist clutches into which it has fallen.

Look to History for Proper International Diplomacy and Effective Policies

Guys, when it comes to handling international relations, Obama clearly needs to go back and study the American history that he missed as a youth attending islamic schools.  Americans are the most generous people on earth, giving millions and millions to charities, contributing additional millions through forced giving --- taxation for foreign support often these millions of US dollars are directed  into the coffers of corrupt foreign leaders, (e.g. Mexico).

How were some of the issues effectively dealt with in the past?   Whether it was dealing with NAZIs or effective border control illegals ---  Obama  needs to consult history --- three of our former presidents who  knew it was cheaper to deport illegals invaders/boarders rather than support them and their numerous offspring.  Ike was the last one to institute effective border control,  and with laws much less draconian than those Mexico applies to those illegally entering their borders.   Americans have responsibility to their own people and cannot support the rest of the world who contribute nothing in return.  Ike called for turning over the feeding trough, (cutting off employment & welfare benefits),  roundup and deportation

While Obama thinks that dealing with muslim terrorists is best handled by molly-coddling and bowing to them, General Pershing knew that arabs consider such behavior to be signs of weakness whereas the effective response was to convince them that it was in their best interest NOT to attack Americans.  Obama, take notice --- General Pershing knew effective diplomacy for islamic terrorists and he wasn't concerned about Saudi monarchs or "politically correct" positions he was concerned with the safety of American military & citizens!

U.S. Government Funds $400,000

Study on Gay Sex in Argentina Bars

The National Institutes of Health are paying researchers to cruise bars in Buenos Aires to find out why gay men engage in risky sexual behavior while drunk -- and what can be done about it.

Doctors and specialists from the New York Psychiatric Institute are using the generous grant from NIH's National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism to help tailor HIV prevention programs to work at bars and clubs.

Though public health officials say that HIV/AIDS rates are higher in Washington, D.C., than in some parts of West Africa, U.S. government funds are going to help curb dangerous liaisons in Argentina's capital.

The study began in September 2008, according to an online abstract, and has already cost taxpayers $198,776, NIH documents show.

"Targeting public venues in Buenos Aires where men meet, alcohol is consumed and sexual behavior occurs," the project's overview explains, "the goal of this 2-year exploratory study is to understand the various factors that contribute to the creation of a high risk sexual space."

That means NIH researchers will have as many as 730 nights on the town for careful observation and interaction.

"To that end, the study seeks to describe the relative contribution of physical characteristics of the place" -- social scientists call this the "vibe" -- and other factors like "patron characteristics" and "social dynamics" that can lead to risky behavior when mixed with a few parts alcohol.

NIH officials say the study is doing valuable work to address high HIV infection rates among homosexual men in Argentina, and that plans developed there could be translated for use in the United States and elsewhere.

Researchers plan to interview dozens of bar patrons and proprietors to help develop the on-site intervention programs -- and they mean to be exact.

"Venue patrons will also undergo a brief quantitative assessment to gather descriptive data on sexual behavior and substance use among this sample," the study's abstract reads.

In layman's terms, that means they're asking drinkers to keep tabs on their quaffs and their quarry; fortunately for their more modest subjects, it's not a qualitative test too.

Because the study is promoting venue-based prevention programs, researchers will have to be exact about the bars they visit in the city of 13 million, taking special care to describe the them "in terms of their physical characteristics, alcohol availability, patron characteristics and sexual behavior that occurs in the venue."

An NIH official said that funds approved for the project include $275,000 for direct costs and an additional $125,000 in indirect costs, but would not elaborate. Though FOXNews.com could not confirm the median price of cervezas in Buenos Aires, that should leave a lot of money for tips.

Cap and Trade a ‘Declaration of War,’ Say Republicans Maximize

“We are going to increase costs on every American with this plan -- and the other thing we need to keep in mind is the millions of American jobs we are going to put at risk if we impose this new tax on American industry when our competitors around the world will not,” House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) told CNSNews.com in a press conference on Thursday. “It’s pretty clear.”

What is Obama up to now in his quest to be as un-American as possible? 4/30/09 Hayden recited a long list of terrorists who were rolled up as a result of the coercive interrogation of Abu Zubaydah and others. Abu Zubaydah was one of three detainees who was subjected to waterboarding. As described in one of the memos written by the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, the technique entails applying water to a cloth placed over the subject’s nose and mouth. Air flow is slightly restricted for 20 to 40 seconds. The cloth is then lifted. According to the memos, no water is breathed into the lungs.

MUSLIMS: 'WE DO THAT ON FIRST DATES' by Ann Coulter Maximize

The techniques used against the most stalwart al-Qaida members, such as Abu Zubaydah, included one terrifying procedure referred to as "the attention grasp." As described in horrifying detail in the Justice Department memo, the "attention grasp" consisted of:"(G)rasping the individual with both hands, one hand on each side of the collar opening, in a controlled and quick motion. In the same motion as the grasp, the individual is drawn toward the interrogator."

2004. In every single one of his visits to Lancaster County, Specter claimed he was "working hard" to bring a federal courthouse to the City of Lancaster and promised to have it in Lancaster by 2006. More than five years later, however, there's still no federal courthouse in Lancaster County. It's just one more of Specter's broken promises.

Scandal Rattner Couldn't Hide from Barack Obama  Scandal Rattner Couldn't Hide from Barack Obama Maximize

He could blame his investment firm's failures on the economy. His wife's DWI could be covered up by media pals. But the Obama Administration's auto-bailout adviser can't hide a bribery investigation. When one hears phrases such as bail out advisor, one might naturally assume the possessor of such an epithet has an expertise in bankruptcies, underfunded businesses, corporate restructuring, or the like. One doesn't expect such a reputation to come from conducting an overly familiar relationship to Jimmy "Prybars" Ragaonzano from the Acme Bail Bonds Agency.Quintanglefoot is simply the latest non-lobbyist in Obama's circle to fail. It's inherent to the culture in D.C. to fail up and get richer while performing odious tasks outside of normal business hours.

"During the Second half of 2008 a former employee of ACORN was working with the NY Times as an infomant about the fraudulent practices of the organization. The Times ran a series of stories on ACORN with the help of Ms Moncreif (the informant). “I'll sell my apartment. I'll sell my condominium. I'm going to get out of there totally, 'cause this is just absurd, and it's ridiculous -- and it isn't going to work,” Limbaugh said. “It's punishing the achievers for the mistakes and the lack of discipline on the part of a bunch of corrupt politicians that have run that city and state into the ground for I don't know how many years -- and I, for one, am not going to take the blame for it. “

Pelosi push to open borders, Hez uses Mexican drug routes into U.S Maximize

Pelosi pushed for open borders, Hezbollah uses Mexican drug routes into U.S. Hezbollah is using the same southern narcotics routes that Mexican drug kingpins do to smuggle drugs and people into the United States, reaping money to finance its operations and threatening U.S. national security, current and former U.S. law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism officials say. The Iran-backed Lebanese group has long been involved in narcotics and human trafficking in South America's tri-border region of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. Increasingly, however, it is relying on Mexican narcotics syndicates that control access to transit routes into the U.S

"Paying People to Volunteer Corrupts the Idea of Volunteerism" ~DeMint Maximize

From Jim DeMint, a Conservative view on the Obama admin proposing a forced volunteerism.: "These small, voluntary organizations of our civil society instill in our people the spirit of charity necessary to sustain a healthy democracy. This week, the Senate is taking up the “Serve America Act,” a $5.7 billion bill that would vastly expand federal programs that aim to tap into that spirit… but I’m afraid will crush it."The basic premise of the bill is that since volunteerism is good, it should be rewarded by government, with money or college credit. But that premise is fatally flawed, both morally and politically.

Obama's Judicial Nominee Says Prayers to Allah Okay, But Not to Jesus Maximize

True to his campaign promises, President Barack Hussein Obama has picked a rabid judicial activist as his first federal court pick. Judge David Hamilton has been chosen by Obama to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. Hamilton is precisely what Obama wants in a judge: Someone who ignores the Constitution and imposes his own liberal ideas on each case.

Teacher Unions vs. Poor Kids Maximize

The "education president" remained silent when his congressional Democrats essentially killed the Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) in the city where he now lives and works. Perhaps it is a symptom of a fevered mind but; the classic Monty Python Spam Sketch is where my thoughts wandered as I began to ponder the profundity of President Obama Ordering Rick Wagoner to step down from his position as CEO of General Motors as a provision of GM receiving a federal loan. And that he will be announcing his plans for the future of the auto industry on Monday. His plan.

Since first posting this story Al Gore responded back that Drew Johnson was lying, Drew came back and said basically No I am not! Drew has photos to prove it!

Muslim women told: For family's sake, commit suicide Maximize

Honor killers avoid prison by forcing victims to take own lives. Turkey's crackdown on the practice of honor killing has resulted in unintended consequences – instead of being murdered by a close male relative for bringing dishonor to their families, Muslim women are being pressured to commit suicide.

 Rodney Dangerfield Republicans Maximize

"I can't get no respect" was the signature line of the late comedian Rodney Dangerfield. Republicans in Congress are getting dissed the day long by President Barack Obama and those mean, old Democrats. But there's hope if they change -- the Republicans, that is.The first thing the GOP needs to do is declare itself a "terrorist organization." Opening a satellite office in Islamabad or San Francisco could help.

Obama just plain wrong about North Dakota floods Maximize

Scientific American has made it pretty clear in the past where their scientific political leanings are, but this may be a new low, even for them. It is sad to see this once great magazine so severely dumbed down in the last few years. In their haste to continue to cash in on the global warming hysteria they forgot to decided not to include a few salient facts.

 Conservative Talk Ratings Skyrocket Maximize

Shortly after last fall’s election, some pundits declared that conservative talk radio was dying. After all, we lost the election and had no impact on voters. In November, an op-ed written by Steve Elman and Alan Tolz for the Boston Globe said, “overall use of their medium is in decline.” The authors also stated, “Alternatives to broadcast radio have proliferated - satellite, net-casts, downloads, blogalogue, iPod entertainment, cellphone updates. As a result, younger listeners largely ignore talk radio, and its existing audience is calcifying.”

Dems Blame Each Other for AIG--> Like Rats Deserting a Sinking Ship Maximize

The New Mantra of the Democratic party is Blame Him NOT ME. Like rats deserting a sinking ship, the Democrats are blaming each other for the AIG mess. The House blamed the Senate; the Senate blamed the Obama administration. President Obama, on the Tonight Show blamed the Special Olympics. Everyone was grandstanding, heck even tax cheat Charlie Rangel faked moral indignation. Then on top of it all Republicans kept the pressure on the Democrats for their gross hypocrisy for being outraged when it was the Democrats who rushed through legislation that contained the hidden clause approving the bonus payments.test

Brownback to block Iraq nominee Maximize

Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas threatened Thursday to take advantage of a Senate rule to block the confirmation of Christopher Hill as U.S. ambassador to Iraq on the grounds that Mr. Hill misled him in promising to raise human rights in talks with North Korea."I am going to be doing everything I can to hold up this nominee," Mr. Brownback told The Washington Times.Mr. Hill is to appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday. The threat raises the prospect that the Obama administration will go without an ambassador in Baghdad for a prolonged period at a sensitive time.test

Rahm Emanuel's profitable stint at mortgage giant Freddie Mac Maximize

Before its portfolio of bad loans helped trigger the current housing crisis, mortgage giant Freddie Mac was the focus of a major accounting scandal that led to a management shake-up, huge fines and scalding condemnation of passive directors by a top federal regulator. One of those allegedly asleep-at-the-switch board members was Chicago's Rahm Emanuel—now chief of staff to President Barack Obama—who made at least $320,000 for a 14-month stint at Freddie Mac that required little effort.

"We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution"

~quote by Abraham Lincoln

"The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." --James Madison.

A Marine now working in the privatesector, summed up our circumstances with this situation report. It aptly captured my sentiment: "It's been tough, fellow Patriots; tough to stomach the idea that more than half of my fellow citizens who vote, have booted a genuine American hero to the curb for a rudderless charlatan. What a sad indictment on our citizenry that some are so  ager to overlook his myriad flaws -- his radical roots, his extreme liberalism, his utter lack of experience or achievement. Barack Obama is the antithesis of  a King's dream: He's a man judged by the color of his skin rather than the content of his character. If it's God's will that Barack Obama is our next president, then so be it. We Patriots will pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and wade back to the war front, intent on liberty or death."

ED FREEMAN R.I.P

Medal of Honor Winner

Ed Freeman!

Since the Media didn't give him the coverage he deserves,

send this to every red blooded American you know.

THANKS AGAIN ED FOR WHAT YOU DID FOR OUR COUNTRY.

RIP

You’re an 19 year old kid. You’re critically wounded, and dying in the jungle in the IaDrang Valley, 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray, Vietnam. Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8–1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in.

You’re lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you’re not getting out. Your family is half way around the world—12,000 miles away—and you’ll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.

Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of helicopter, and you look up to see an un-armed Huey, but it doesn't seem real, because no Medi-Vac markings are on it.

Ed Freeman is coming for you. He’s not Medi-Vac, so it’s not his job, but he’s flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come.

He’s coming anyway.

And he drops it in, and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board.

Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire, to the doctors and nurses.

And, he kept coming back…13 more times…and took about 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out.

Medal of Honor Recipient, Ed Freeman, died March 25th, 2009 at the age of 80, in Boise, ID…May God rest his soul.
